Widow's Uniform

We have just managed to get hold of the last few remaining copies of The Widow's Uniform, which is an album of some of Rudyard Kipling's Barrack Room Ballads with settings by the wonderful Peter Bellamy as performed by Brian Peters, Dave Webber, Anni Fentiman, John O'Hagan, John Morris and Fi Fraser and Gina le Faux. The show The Widow's Uniform and the shorter Widow's Party toured provincial theatres and Folk Festivals in 1996/1997 and was a great success. There were other poeple involved in the show, namely, Nancy Kerr, Chris Sugden, Johnny Collins, Tim Laycock, Tom Lewis, Mick Tems, and others. The show received a great review from the radio arts programme Kaleidescope and was enormous fun to do. Bringing to life the Barrack Room Ballads using Peter's settings was very rewarding.
